The federal polytechnic (bida), has after a prolonged meeting with ASUP decided to end the six month old industrious strike.

The academic Union of polytechnics after a prolonged investigation on the issues that lead to the strike, finally decided to end the prolonged strike.

The  spokes person confirmed that the flag for strike went up since July and lasted until January.

Asup spokes person lamented on the reason for the commencement of the ongoing strike and concluded that it was uncalled for.

Following the report given,The board earlier negotiated with the staffs of Federal polytechnic bida,saying that all issues that lead to the strike will be resolved in no time.

He further promised all staffs of the prospective institution that all shortfalls in their salaries will be meet with.

The negotiation meeting which began by morning lasted till evening and yield an encouraging outcome.

The spokes person beacon on all students of the  institution not to see this medium as an opportunity to constitute violence but remain calm as all issues are being resolved.

Bida Poly To End strike 

Subsequently the school has scheduled academic activities to resume properly on the 27th of January 2020.

Also the examination council also used  same medium to apologize for all inconveniences the ongoing strike has coursed most especially the postponement of the semester examination and assured all candidates that the examination will be fixed immediately after the official resumption.

assured all aspirants of the institution that the reason for the delay was out of the ongoing strike and assured them that subsequent batches will be released.

Rotary Foundation Global Study Grants
The Rotary Foundation offers scholarship funding through the Rotary Foundation Global Grant scholarships. The scholarship funds graduate-level coursework or research for one to four academic years.  The minimum budget for a global grant scholarship is $30,000 which can fund the following: passport/visa, inoculations, travel expenses, school supplies, tuition, room and board, etc.

OFID Scholarship Award
OFID (The OPEC Fund for International Development) offers a fully-funded scholarship to qualified applicants who wish to study for a Master’s degree in an accredited University around the world. The scholarships are worth up to $50,000 that covers the tuition fees, monthly allowance to cover living expenses, accommodation, insurance, books, relocation grants, and travel costs.

It obvious that most people after going through this list might be discouraged, claiming that why will an institution bring down it cut off point to 150?

But the simple reply is that the joint Admission and matriculation board jamb has reduced cut off marks for admission and also asked institution to follow the adjustment.
